I just took the blog down titled "Yung No MO"----
Apparently it upset people---
I am so sorry--
I never ever meant it to be that way---
It was not meant to upset anyone -----I am part of a Chinese Family so it wasn't meant to be a "slight " to anyone--I do feel very bad!---
I shall miss yu all a lot--- I shall not be writing anymore--
I enjoy "Spark" so much--- but I really am sorry!

Okay...NOW I see why I stopped getting notifications for your blog. I am very glad you've clearly decided to stay with us and give us your daily point of view. I am so seriously sick of people looking for something to get their panties all bunched up over. There are enough REAL problems in the world without looking for things to be offended about.

Hang in there, Lynda. We like you just the way you are!

I couldn't get my Spark to work yesterday and somehow I missed the response to your cute blog. Then this morning I couldn't find anything from you, so I started checking it out and found this - you left, but thank goodness, you came back! You are so loved and I look forward to finding you here each day. If someone doesn't like what you write, they don't have to read it, but apparently you have a loyal following that does like what you write! Thank you for soldiering on (is that spelled right? I guess you know what I mean!)

Thank you for deciding to continue on. I would miss you, Himself, the dogs and Sushi. Keep on keeping on.

I'm so sorry people got offended. Our culture has become so oversensitive lately, hasn't it?
I, for one, thought it was funny, especially considering that you are part of a cross-cultural family. Don't stress about it. We all love you anyway.

It's a sad day when YOU of all people have to take down a blog! One bad apple shouldn't ruin the bunch. You are one of the most witty and fun people I know. I always get on here first thing and look up your blogs. As a matter of fact, today I had to use the search to find you! I do hope you will continue your blogs.

I miss your blog. I always look forward to your posts. You are one of the brightest sparks on this site. Whenever I want to give up on my journey I pull up your blog. I love to see where your son is flying off to. I love hearing about the Germans(dogs) and the many adventures of your family. Thank you so much for sparking over the years. I do hope you post again. You are a treasure.

I was heartbroken when I didn't see your blog on my page. It is the first thing I read and starts my day off with a smile. It is impossible to tell you what your stories and narratives mean to me. It is an escape from having to stay at home all the time. Please do not let one blog post stop you from writing your journal. So many people will miss it. Me included. emoticon emoticon

After missing your blog for 2 days, I went searching for you. Tho' this is the first time commenting, I have been reading your blogs for a few years now, and it is a big part of my Sparkpeople experience. I am so sad that people get offended over the least little thing. These belittling ones should not make the decision for everyone who loves your witty, down-to-earth posting of everyday life. I'm praying for you today, that you will be comforted from the hurt you must feel. And I hope you will reconsider and keep writing for those of us who love you! -Carolyn in Indy-

As many others on here, I too have never written a comment to anyone nor have I ever read so many blogs from one person. Knowing how people become offended over every little thing, I had a feeling that someone would make an issue out of your blog. I am always on heightened alert of what to say and how to say it because I have been an elementary teacher for 21 years. Being in the education field is tough because one is scrutinized for whatever comes out of the mouth. I feel as though I walk on eggshells every day, especially with parents listening to me while I teach virtually. My family knows you as the "lady from Canada", and considering my 16 year old is obsessed with Canada, she will be heartbroken as well. With all the stressors that I am going through right now, you were my Zen in the morning, before I faced the real world for the day. As soon as you rescued Sushi, I was hooked, as I have given(and still am) many cats a loving home. It takes awhile to get over the way someone has portrayed you to be a bad person over something in which you had no bad intentions to begin with. You will sit and replay this ugly moment over and over in your head, but will eventually miss this therapeutic blogging that you do, and we will miss our therapeutic reading that we do. Looking forward to reading about your life again...

Your blogs make many people happy and should continue. In this day and age, it's almost impossible to make everyone happy. Some people have gotten to be so senitive and are offended by everything. What has this world come to? Please continue your writing and sharing your life with us. Your blogs are the first thing I go to when getting on Spark.

Trust me, you have more Friends here than not. People are sensitive to different things and in this day of always being aware of them, well it is Impossible!! Each day I read your blog and it gives me SUCH JOY, I look forward to having my coffee with you daily. Please do take care of yourself first and foremost. I hope this too will pass and feel terrible for you if anyone has hurt your feelings, which I fear they have done.

I was so busy yesterday, I did not look at any of my usual blogs. Now I am sick at heart, and my stomach is tied in knots.

If someone complained about that innocent blog, shame on them! If the leadership of Spark has done this to you, they have disgraced themselves!

    Please come back!

I can't imagine not having the opportunity to read your blog and share in your life. I've never commented before and have only just found your blog, but I must share how much I look forward to checking in on you each day. This is such a hard time for so many of us and you probably have no idea how many smiles or how much support you have provided. Along with your many other fans I hope you will reconsider. Thank you for sharing your spirit and your corner of the world with us. I feel like I'm saying good-bye to a dear friend.

Oh dearest Lynda, I was concerned when I finally got to my emails not to see one from you so I had to search out to see why. Figuring I had done something wrong. And I came across this blog post.

YOU CAN'T QUIT!! As you see when you read all the comments YOU ARE IMPORTANT TO US!!! You make our days. Life without your blog will BE HORRIBLE!!!

I read the blog and I have no idea what the heck someone could make an offensive comment about the blog. All I can say is I apologize for their rudeness. And if it was SP management then I am going to have to re-think about using this web site.

I hope and PRAY that you will come back and blog.... I can't imagine my life without your daily stories about life with Himself, the dogs, Sushi, and what is going on in your neck of the woods.

PLEASE COME BACK!!! I miss and love you

    Hi Lynda,

Just here to support humour in general and your right to express your humour specifically. At this point you must see the difference between a few people with one opinion and an awfully lot of people with another opinion--the latter supporting you.

I have a high regard for humourists, comedians, and the like. I do cartoons, one liners, funny cards and posts on Facebook with my own drawings. I don't expect them all to hit a home run. It's thrilling when it happens. It makes me feel, a little bit, like I'm in that league.

Sharing your humour can be such a personal thing. It's really sticking your neck out. But isn't all forms of sharing of opinions like that? Sometimes we're on the opposite end of things: a few people "get us" and many do not. Sounds like life, doesn't it?

We fight for freedom of speech and then find ourselves called to stick up for some whose opinions we strongly disagree with. Again: life!

I hope you will be able to ride over this. My strange slant on things is often: Well, if everybody agrees with me, I'd better check to see what I said. (My funny....groan).

I, as well as 100's others, am shocked that you have been criticized for your blog which by the way I missed. In my opinion, and I am entitled to my opinion, this world has truly gone way over the edge. It truly annoys me that so many are taking offense of so many things. Where and when is it going to end. Can't remember where it started but if memory serves (But mostly memory takes a hike) the first of the craziness started with gender. All of a sudden, after centuries, the feminine had to be taken into consideration no more gentlemen but now gentlepersons, numerous sports teams have had to change their names because someone was offended and on and on it went and continues to go. Why is the skin so thin now I wonder. Many jokes have been made of my nationality and many people try to imitate the broken English spoken by my kinfolk. Never once have I been offended and for sure didn't make a big scene about it. Many thoughts are tumbling through my head but I don't dare put them here............

Lynda, please don't let "that" person or persons bully you into not blogging. Your blogs are so loved by so many folks as has been attested to here that it would truly be a shame for you to quit honouring us with your charm and wit, not to mention the knowledge you share with us. It hurts to be misunderstood and to be criticized, rise above it and continue being Lynda we all love. I will be waiting for your return, please don't take to long.

Lynda, just look at all the support here for you. Be yourself girl. You are witty, funny and can make me laugh with just a few words on a short post as well as your blogs. Don't let someone stop you from being you. There are some in this world who seem to make a full time job out of being offended but as you can plainly see here, most of us are not like that.

I seldom comment on any blogs but let me join the chorus of those asking that you continue to blog. Your blogs are so much fun to read. I enjoyed the blog in question but admit I wondered if in this PC time some would take the title badly. No one would have said anything about it when I was young. Maybe those that did object don't know much about you and didn't realize that you have a Chinese family.

Please know that so many of us love you and thoroughly enjoy reading your stories about everything happening in the great North. emoticon emoticon
