Quite a Sunday

Sunday, October 18, 2020

My day started at The Home Depot. I had to go there for my job to get some nuts and bolts, and a fixture. I hate going to places like this, because they are so huge, with so much stuff, and no one seems to know where anything is, or if they own it at all. I went armed with a photo of the fixture I needed; that my District Manager swears we got from Home Depot (like 6 years ago). I asked 4 different associates, before I finally gave up. One told me they didn't have anything like that; one told me to check online and one didn't have a clue and just shrugged and walked off. The fourth one at least led me to something he thought could work in its place and....yep, they were sold out. So after a hour in there, I left with the nuts and bolts only. Will try Lowe's on a separate day.
We are closing our backroom building, and it's a huge building. There's six years work of old fixtures over there and six years worth of lazy people running it who just threw everything anywhere and left it. I'm now tasked with cleaning it up and getting all the fixtures around that I want to keep. It has been a hellish 2 days so far; working 12+ hours a day, being on my feet all day and moving and rearranging heavy stuff by myself.
Shockingly, it only took me two days to hurt myself. LOL I dropped a board on the top of my right foot. I think I will live though....I stopped and gave myself a couple of minutes before carrying on. When I finally checked, there wasn't a bruise yet, but I'm sure I'll see one show up sooner than later.
I tracked my lunch and got blown away again. I can't believe my "go to" breakfast and lunches are so darn high in calories and fat. Now I see the trend that is keeping me overweight! I really thought I was doing good; I knew the frozen chicken patty I brought wasn't the best choice, but I didn't think my entire lunch would be so many calories put together! Ate it on a bun with lite mayo and romaine, then had 4 baby carrots, 2 celery stalks, 5 slices of cucumber, with a Jif To Go peanut butter cup. And 10 green grapes. And THAT was 663 calories? 60 carbs?? 40 grams of fat??? WHAT!!!! Completely blown away here! Crazy. I guess my next goal should be to lean away from ANYTHING prepackaged. Jeez. I am going to have to get creative with my lunches.....
Two more hours and I can go home....can't come fast enough!
