Journal/log entry

Weather: It's gorgeous outside with lots of sunshine, and clear blue skies. No smoke, fog, or smog, of course Vermont doesn't get that much smog though. We have been getting the smoke from the fires out west though. Temp a chilly 39 degrees. Haven't been outside yet I'm waiting for it to warm up a bit

Satureday's log: Saturday was a blah day for me. I woke up late after getting up early to register for a swimming lane at the Y on Monday. I shouldn't do that on my tablet any more. I accidently registered for one of the other program pool lanes which means I have to go under water to get to it. I have to use the stairs in the program pool lane. Maybe tomorrow I'll try the ladder. I'm all regestered for the 8 am to 8:45 time slot. I love this system because you're gauranteed a lane, and there are no kids around to get in your way as there were in the good ole days of general swim time. Now they do have sharing lanes every even hour but thats always another adult, and it's only one other person. That part I'm not exactly thrilled with because we're not 6 feet apart at times, and you don't wear masks in the pool. But I guess it's okay if they got the go ahead from the health department.

After registering for swimming I went back to bed for a while, and slept in. Woke up and did my work on the computer: Spark people, reading my email, and catching up on the news. Did up a bunch of dirty dishes lying around in the sink.

I also made an incredibly delicous pot roast. Instead of carrots which I was out of I put in some cubed winter squash, or as cubed as I got it, new potatoes, lots of onions, and instead of beef broth which I was also out of I used vegetable broth. I let everything simmer all day in the crock pot, and had the best dinner ever.

Spent the day doing anything but reading. For some reason I just couldn't get into it. I even did something I haven't done in ages watch youtube videos on the computer. I was watching buzz feeds ghost stories, and getting creeped out by them. I live by myself.

Goal log: Got reading, learning, getting outside, and housework done.

Exercise log: None, today was a rest day

Reading log: The Gangster, The La Brea Tar Pits, The Necromancer's Library

My goals for Sunday are:

15 minutes of housework
1 hour of learning
1 hour of writing
1 hour of reading
45 minutes of exercise
writing in my journal/log
getting up at or before 8:00
getting out

Weekly check in: Last week went really well. I was up early every day, got in two swims, and my one physical therapy appointment. Did all my land exercises through out the week. Got out every day as well, and got the rest of my goals done. I'm very proud of myself for getting out on Friday. It was pouring rain all day, and I usually don't go out in the rain because I have to take the busses.

My goals for this week are:

90 minutes of housework
7 hours of reading
7 hours of writing
7 hours of learning
270 minutes of exercise
writing in my journal/log
getting up at or before 8:00 every day
getting outside every day
getting in two swims
getting in one physical therapy session
doing my land exercises for physical therapy every day

Woo hoo, you hit all your goals! Yeah!
It’s great to be able to make goals and achieve them every week. I look at this and I realize how much my depression is holding me back.
