Starting to take care of my body

Saturday, October 17, 2020

Hi everyone I started on a healthy lifestyle journey yesterday. I told my husband that I want to concentrate on eating healthy, exercising and seeing a sports massage therapist once a month because I want to start taking care of my body. I have a strenuous job which puts a lot of pressure on my body and although I am not that old, I can feel how it's impacting my joints and muscles. I want to start looking after myself more. I want to post my food intake daily and if I have done any exercise. So this is what yesterday looked like. Exercise: 30 minute walk = 195 calories with the family. Food intake: 1492 calories excluding my teas and coffee I had throughout the day. Here's what I ate: Breakfast: 1 slice whole wheat seeded bread topped with margarine and one fried egg. Snack: 6 whole wheat biscuits topped with 15g of almond butter. 50ml of orange juice. Lunch: 70g of papaya, 1 tablespoon of homemade hummus, 1 smoked vienna on a whole wheat seeded slice of bread. Snack: 1 big red apple with 2 teaspoons of unsalted and unsweetened peanut butter. Dinner: 1 whole wheat wrap filled with spinach, feta cheese, a little bit of butter and one piece of battered fish. I want to log everything to stay accountable. My goal is to lose 10kg (22lbs) by the end of April 2021. I am not in a rush. As I said, I just want to look after my body more, take care of it. Have a beautiful Sunday wherever you are in this world of ours.

Slow and steady is the way. Logging your food is a great way to see what you are doing and what nutrients you may be missing. Good Job! emoticon
