Observations on my morning walk
Saturday, October 17, 2020
This morning my husband did our grocery run early (6 am), and then I had trouble with my iPad and had to call Apple support. That call lasted over two hours. So our morning walk started around 10 am rather than 6 am.
This made our walk to be in the light, when it is usually dark out. So I was able to make some observations.
First we noticed that the clouds quickly rolled in, blocking the sunlight.
There are a fair number of people with homes decorated for fall or Halloween.
We came into contact with fewer walkers than we do at 6 am.
There are also about the same number of Biden signs as there are Trump signs. There was even one house that had a “Neither” sign.
On one street we pass a “Prayer poll” where you can leave prayer requests.
Trees are loosing leaves and needles.
You could tell which houses are having work done today because of trucks with the company name in the road.
Fewer cars leaving their homes, probably because at 6 am people are leaving to go to work.
Also we live on a cul-de-sac. My husband sets his phone to time our walk when we leave. When we get to our house if the minutes gone are just 2 or 3 less than 60 we walk to the end of the street and back to get to at least 60.
