Plateau Blues

Friday, October 09, 2020

I could get sad about not losing any weight for over 3 months but I'm not sad I'm determined to bust it with persistence. I'm adjusting my exercise and calories. I've added strength training 2 days a week, modified pushups 3 times a week and walking with my BFF 3 times a week. I've adjust my calories down by 100. I've done this plateauing many times on my weight loss journey and I continue to learn how my body is adjusting to my new lighter weight and I feel this will help me as I move to maintenance. So stoked for everyone where ever you're at on your journey. We've got this 💪🙌 together.

    Hi Rebecca,
You have got a great plan going. Things will start changing and you will start losing. I looked at my calendar and I have lost 8 1/2 # since the first of the year. I know it doesn't sound like very much. But I have been on a plateau. I finally started eating at the high end of my cal allowance. (1200-1550). For 2 or 3 days in a row then I eat at the low end. That seems to really make a difference. I also am trying to go to bed by 10 Pm. I really think getting a good nights sleep helps. I have been tracking what I eat and I have been drinking my water. Eventually we will get to our goal weights and get healthy along the way. We can do this!! emoticon

Woohoo! You are rocking it, with great changes or "tweaks" as I call them to break the plateau! FTR, I have also been on a plateau for months. But I have just kept working, exercising, and eating properly to the best of my ability and I feel great, I just can't seem to get to ONEDERLAND yet!!!!

But that is okay, as I feel my body changing, my clothes and endurance getting stronger, I am accepting that for now!!! My thoughts are with the move, the stress of everything all at once, is hanging on to what I call "Warrior Weight!" Yup, I named it years ago. once things get to a more normal pattern, my weight will drop!
So you go girlfriend!!! This is awesome and I know you got this!!!!

Well, you were convalescing during the past 3 months; that could have somewhat to do with your plateau. However, your attitude alone is going to conquer it, along with your consistent work-I'm proud for you!! emoticon emoticon
