What a year

Sunday, October 04, 2020

Can you belief that it is almost Christmas again, and what a year we have had with the pandemic, a lot of people will be glad that this year will end, bringing in 2021 as a great New Year. Instead of letting the new year in, though we should be opening the door and letting the old year out and slamming the door behind it. I have been lucky enough to stay healthy through this whole traumatic year, and continued to work from work, of course we have set up our work stations in case we have had to close down and work from home. The good thing about that is that if I have to stay at home to wait for a handyman or contractor then at least I don't have to have a day off just do my work from home.
My weight has been fluctuating like a yo-yo. But I have to keep in mind that I am going to be 60 in December, and I would really love to wear a beautiful dress that I feel comfortable in and that makes me feel amazing. So for the next three months is a mission to be my best self, take care of myself, do the exercises on my program, watch what I eat. And enjoy my life, and not dwell on the past which is what I have been doing the last couple of months, and generally feeling sorry for myself, no relationships, more time spent on my own, wishing my life were different. The only one who can make that happen is ME. I have decided that it is time that I moved out of this house, it is full of memories and whilst many of them are good ones, there is too much of reminder of my husband in the house, even though I have made this house my own, I still need somewhere fresh to start afresh. The only trouble with that is that I may have to get rid of my dog, unless I can find a pet friendly rental. I don't know what my life would be like without a fur baby. And I know that eventually this three bedroom house will be too much for me to look after, a large back and front yard will become too much for me to maintain, and the shower is in the bath, which makes it hard to get in the shower when I have to step over the bath. So my plan for 2021 is a new start, hopefully.
