Starting out with staionary bike oof!

How is it I can power walk 8 miles but getting on the stationary bike in just 2 minutes I feel like I am never going to make it to ten minutes never mind 5 minutes. I use my legs daily for power walking at a 4 MPH pace but on the stationary bike I feel like I am running a marathon and my upper thigs begin to ache like crazy 2 minutes into my session. I also feel extremely fatigued.
I am aiming for 10 minutes twice a day over and above the daily power walking and every other day strength training. Today I did get through 10 minutes of cycling after lunch and told hubby I felt as if I just power walked 8 miles. I went out for a 4 mile power walk at 3:30 and then after dinner decided to try the stationary bike again. I lasted only 5 minutes and called it a day. Maybe I wil get brave and tgive it another try after I have rested up a bit.
Tomorrow my goal is to make it twice at 10 minutes with no breaking down. It's supposed to rain so I am going to have to push it to meet that goal. I CAN DO THIS!.
Just added a new goal, doing planks. Did 2 and a half to start. Two I did at one minute and one only 30 seconds. Im going to work up to 2 minute planks and hopefully will be successful by the nd of October. if not I will keep it up until I get there. No matter how long it takes, II WILL DO IT!
