yep...I'm stoked

I was so happy about getting up early and out for an early distance power walk because my sister was going to be cycling on my trail today. She lives a few towns over from me and I rarely see her due to COVID and the fact that she is a teacher and still works while I am retired.

She told me she should be arriving on the trail in my town by around 11:00 am so I started my power walk at 10:00 and headed towards where she would be arriving. I was so disappointed that I didn't see her during my 6.5 mile walk but I figured maybe she was delayed because we had some very high winds today and it was brutal when coming back fighting the wind gust all the way. I knew on a bike my sister would probably be feeling pretty fatigued if indeed she had trekked out on her cycling route.

Once home I messaged her to find out that she didn't go after all because the winds were too high for comfort. I am just 5foot 2 ins and I have to say that in some of the gusts I literally had to fight my way forward. We do get some good wind storms here at this time of year. I don't like wind but it was so beautiful outside I didn't care. On feet it is easier to move in high wind than on bike for sure.

I really enjoyed my walk and had full intentions of going back after dinner for another 3 m+ miles however from yesterdays long walks and then today's. I have acquired some nasty blisters on a couple of my toes and one is a huge blood blister. if it pops it will be quite a mess. It is painful so I opted to stay in tonight and take it easy. I did do a 10 minute workout on my stationary bike that I had hubby bring in for me. WE have some rain coming this week so I can bike indoors if I can't walk outside.

Yes, I feel stoked.
