I finally hit 11 pounds down this week. My goodness, it took a little over a month to get here, but I'll take it! WooHoo!
I bought a small apartment sized washer about 3 weeks ago. After finally figuring out how to connect everything and having my kitchen floor turn into a small lake because the drainage tube liked it better on the floor than in the sink during my first attempt, I can now do laundry at home and not have to get up at 2 a.m. to go to my favorite laundromat. (I loved the man who owns the place. He was so nice and always looked after me while I was there. I will miss him.) I've always loved doing my laundry and so much more now! (Yes, I am very weird)
Work has been crazy the last few weeks,y emotions have been all over the place. I found a doctor I love to pieces. I'm back on meds, what a difference they are making! She is kind, funny, and spent all the time we needed to go over everything. It was such a refreshing change!
She wants me to see an orthopaedist for my knees. Between the many falls I have taken over the years (I used to walk quickly and my right foot tends to drop when I do, and down I go), my weight, and possibly getting older, my knees are a mess. I got used to the snap, crackle, and pop I hear whenever I stand, but shortly after my doctor visit, my muscles around my left knee started feeling weak, and then early last week, the back of my knee started really hurting every time I stand up, and there are times it just throbs. It's worse when getting up from my chair at work. I've started limping, which REALLY annoys me. The worst part of all of this is that it makes working out nigh on impossible! I can dance, not moving my legs (weird, I know) by moving everything down to my knees. I can do upper body strength training, but that's about all for the time being. What really bothers me, aside from the pain, is that now that we are finally cooling down (kind of...98 today is better than the low to mid 100s we have had the last few weeks here in Vegas), I can't take walks at my park.
Well, time to get on with my day. I have laundry to do (Yay!), fur babies to annoy, lunch to make, and a book to read!
Bright Blessings for a lovely weekend!
