Siobhan & Chris's Wedding 19.09.20
Tuesday, September 22, 2020
Siobhan's day started at 5:45 when she got up to put on a crockpot of butter chicken. Aria and I got up about 7, and we let Peter sleep until 10.
After getting our hair done, we set up the tables in the yard and had brunch. Peter and I went out to get ice while Siobhan and Aria got dressed... the photographers arrived at noon.
We left for church at 1:45... Peter drove Siobhan, Aria came with me, and Sarah (Siobhan's friend from Junior Kindergarten and her Maid of Honour) drove herself.
There were 17 guests at church plus 2 photographers, two musicians and our priest, Rev. Mark. Most of the pews were blocked off with white ribbon so that people were at least 6' apart. Peter escorted Siobhan down the aisle in his Douglas kilt.
Just 2 days before the ceremony, Siobhan & Chris learned that the Bishop was requiring them to wear masks throughout the service, and for Mark to stay behind the altar instead of being closer to them. Here is a picture of the exchange of rings.
We were not allowed to gather on the lawn in front of the church, but did get this picture of Mark with Siobhan, Chris and Aria.
Everyone regrouped in our back yard for butter chicken, sweet & sour meatballs with pineapple and green peppers, wraps, meats and cheeses. Sarah made the wedding cake and beautifully-decorated cupcakes. Siobhan & Aria changed to running shoes for the reception.
It was a beautiful, intimate wedding full of love... Chris said it was the best day of his life.
