I came out of hibernation

This month I have hiked over 70KM and trending to end at 96KM which means of course I want to see if I can hit 100.

At the start of year I had become so lethargic I logged one .8K walk for an entire month. That was my exercise, less than one KM. For a month. I can't even say I was in sloth mode, I was more like hibernating bear mode. Looking back at my food however I was eating like I was running 10K a week.

By May I was up to 50K for the month just in hikes. Every month increased and as my activity increased my eating navigated back to instinctively changed to healthier options. I took a break (very short) from tracking my foods to make myself think about what foods were going into my body. Now I use it to check my nutrients, not so much my calories.

Since June I've averaged 1.5 pounds lost a week! This is the first time in five years that I've had a consistent, long term weight loss.

I can't count the number of times I proclaimed I was back! This was it, this was the last time I was restarting! This was my rock bottom.

Apparently I was wrong, about 20 times.

I never wanted to give up and kept trying to pick up where I left off. So many times I'd say, I lost 2 pounds but let me tell you about the 100 I had lost. I've stopped that. I want to celebrate that milestone again when I get there.

Tomorrow is official weigh-in day and I look forward to them again. Lose, gain or the same I like the accountability.

To date I've lost 56 pounds, that's pretty awesome.
