A clean slate

Hello friends.. wow, it's already afternoon. Time slipped away from me this morning.

Yesterday was a simple day, didn't get a lot of activity in, was a bit sore from the day before and knew this morning would be intense so I took it easy. Made an awesome butternut squash chili for lunch, topped it with fat free greek yogurt and a la banderita wrap I baked into tortilla strips in the oven. My summer challenge charm came in the mail yesterday from WW put that on the charm holder with the rest and memories stirred for friends made along this journey.

Went to the post office to drop off two surprise gifts.. then I had a light dinner, brown rice pasta with ricotta and sat down to paint a bit while listening to the Yankee game... I was all set to pass out around 1030ish as the Yanks were losing by one and down to their last out and don't ya know a homerun.. Next thing you know it is close to 1230 and I hear John Sterling's signature sign off.. The Yankees win, thaaaaa Yankees win.. so this morning when the alarm when off at 630 and the house was filled with chilly air, I did not want to drag myself out of my warm toasty blanket, but I did.. cause you know.. #tullytime.

Got in an awesome workout, ran to shoprite for weekly groceries came home and made installment #5 of my fun with butternut squash challenge, chocolate protein, butternut squash muffins. May walk up the block tonight with my sister to see a band play outside at a local restaurant.. other than that not much on the agenda besides cooking, butternut squash risotto and braised beef for dinner tonight and I think I'm going to throw together escarole and bean soup. A girl can't live on butternut squash alone 😅😂🤔 ... I do want to take a walk, but more of a leisurely stroll than a calorie burning effort.

Ryder went to his first Rosh Hashana celebration yesterday.. his Bauntie is Jewish.. (Best Friend/Auntie) This morning he is at his cousin's christening. He is so accepting and loving already. Makes a Nonna proud!

Shana Tova! May the year be filled with many blessings!
