So here I am...40th consecutive day of meditating...and so glad to say (once again) that I’m so glad I am doing the practice.
Being mindful and learning to be more in the moment has had a most profound effect on me. It does not mean that I am not moody or irritated at times. It does not mean that I am walking around hugging trees and telling everyone “Namaste” hello and goodbye. It means that I am profoundly more aware of my thoughts and how I react to those thoughts and the feelings that come along with them.
Seriously, if you haven’t done any mindfulness meditation ...you gotta try it.

I sound like I drank the Kool-aid!
But you know what? When I discovered how Spark “clicked” and made sense after trying to lose weight my whole life...I did the same thing then too! I couldn’t (and still can’t) say enough about Spark!
I think part of the reason why mindfulness is resonating so much with me now (besides the time of my life) is that is brings in Spark elements of being aware of what you are doing... being mindful of what you eat, how you eat, and why you eat...except it’s with thoughts and feelings instead.
Bonus! I already know that patience, persistence and consistency are going to yield results, so yes...I am all in!
Being in the moment...no matter what that moment may be, is really cool. Makes me wonder where have I been all my life?
Fun fact: HUGE audit project going on at work. It’s what I’m paid to do. I laid out my well-intentioned plans to the coworkers and universe months ago, and again weeks ago. Have those best laid plans come to fruition? Heck No! In another mindset, I would have been flipping out at this point. Nope, not gonna do it. I reframed, asked the right questions, received the answer (I just knew) would come from my coworker, and pivoted to make do with what I got. Oh, it will get done...under the wire...but where would the fun be if it weren’t? I’ve done it before, but this time, I’m totally going to enjoy the ride!! In fact, the other 1/3 involved in the project got me their stuff early! They didn’t have to, but they did...BONUS! I was not planning on that!
Ahhhhh...life is good.
