THE OBESITY CODE

So, I am finally starting to see The weight come off. I'm reading a book that was recommended by my physician. It's called the obesity code. The book uses lots of scientific studies to backup its premise. The premise is that We should do several things in looking that weight loss. The 1st thing that we should do is knock out added sugar. So I've been avoiding sugar like the plague. He says the insulin basically is released when we eat sugar and becomes resistant if it's constantly releasing insulin. He also goes on to talk about their weight gain cycle. He talks about where you lose weight but then you regain it over a period of time because you don't have a long term plan in order to keep the weight off. He introduces the concept of intermittent fasting as an option to keep the weight off. There are several different ways to do and I am doing fast breakfast and lunch and then eat dinner. I am going to Experiment a little as necessary. I've been doing no added sugar. Except for holidays and celebrations. That gave me relief because I initially thought that there is no way that I would be able to make it through the holidays with absolutely no sugar. I look forward to pie all year long. The man who wrote it is a Nephrologist. He works with the most resistant of diabetic clients. His program has allowed them to get back in control of their lives and their diabetes within 6 weeks. I always worry about diabetes and I am grateful to have all the information from the book. Anyway here's to a new adventure!
