Fight Procrastination Day

This is our assignment for the Aspire and Inspire sparkteam: September 6 was Fight Procrastination Day. It is an unofficial holiday that encourages people to take charge of their procrastination problem and to find ways to combat the never-ending urge to put off important tasks for another day. Do you procrastinate? How can you fight procrastination?

I do procrastinate sometimes, but I have been getting better about not doing it. I try several things to fight procrastination. One thing I do is make lists of things I need to do, and then try to check off everything on the list. Another strategy is to do things early in the morning. I am less likely to procrastinate on something if I get it done early. The third way I fight procrastination is to review my goals. Seeing what my goals are helps me to get motivated. Another way I fight procrastination is to break down tasks into small steps or small blocks of time, then just do a little at a time, with breaks in between. Finally, my last strategy for fighting procrastination is to be accountable to someone else. Procrastination can still be a problem for me sometimes, but these strategies help.
