Progress (or lack of) update

I am in a contest for work that started this week. It's like a team competition and it tracks our exercise as a team and ranks us against other teams. I have definitely increased my exercise and steps due to this contest.
I am very frustrated because of my weight gain since I quit smoking. I think I have gained about 8 pounds but the really hard thing is it put me over 200 and I am so disappointed by this. I have my husband helping me some finally. He does the cooking and it's really good, so I can't complain at all. However what he makes is not often low in fat. Luckily he has heard my frustration with the scale and is being very aware of what he is making.
I have been tracking all my food this week, and yes most days I have gone 100-200 calories over my range. Except yesterday when I was under about 100. I know this isn't enough for weight loss and I have to do better.
I am happy overall. I quit smoking and I really didn't think I would be able to. It's been over 3 months and while it is still hard sometimes there have actually been a couple days when I didn't even think about it! I know that was worse for my health than the weight.
Anyway, I am increasing my movement and tracking my calories, and hopefully I will soon be able to stay within ranges consistently.
