Being more honest with myself

Thursday, August 20, 2020

so, as the title says. I'm forcing myself to write this. I'm being honest, I haven't been doing as stellar as I wanted to. Pretty much just "meh" days. Days where I half try. I've been getting up, going out and getting a nice long walk eating though. Not the best.

Every time I try to track I make excuses and give up. I hate giving up. Exercise cannot get rid of the abundance of calories I can pack in in such a short time! UGH!

I would just LOVE to FILL a whole week with smiley faces. That is my current goal. I'd love to fill a WHOLE MONTH with good days!

So I'm just gonna keep going and not allow myself to give up. I need to do this for me!

View from my walk this morning. It's heat wave season now so it was already hot at 7am!! emoticon

Almost Friday!

Celebrate what you are doing that is part of your plan and don't sweat the misses. These are increadibly difficult and challenging times.
Love your idea of putting smiley faces on the calendar when you hit your marks.

Celebrate each day you hit a healthy habit. Life is full of ups and downs, keep looking at your ups.

    Beautiful view!

There sure are ups and downs with this process and not just weight ones. Thank you for sharing your struggle. I’m struggling too right now and you encourage me.

Work on that first week of consistent smiley faces. Cheer when you place that last sticker. Then get your mind around doing it again. Based on your previous posts, you feel better when you are following healthier habits. Keep reminding yourself of that, especially when tempted to stray. Seems you might want to look at what you could do to comfort yourself instead of losing control with food. This may be a key for you. It may also be something you need help with. These are tough issues to solve. You are worth it and you deserve to have the fitness you want to play with your kids.

    Peace and Care

Excellent. We all make mistakes on this journey. You can get right back after it.

Good job! The first step is admitting mistakes. We all have areas where we can improve and have to be humble enough to recognize and work on it. I slip often with tracking.
