Well, we made it a week so far!

We started with the SP meal plan last Sunday. I adapted some of the meals for budget purposes, but I tried to stay as true to the plan as possible. I have enjoyed learning how to make a couple meals that I have never made before. And I was able to make a couple of our usual meals (that were in the meal plan!) in a different way to make them more healthy.

emoticon I have realized a problem we are having is that my hubby and son really need to eat more calories than me. My hubby already has a SP account, so I made one to use for our son. The problem is that they have completely different meals on their meal plans. I am going to try this week to figure out a way to match up our plans as best as possible. For now, they have mostly been eating 1.5 - 2 times more than me of our meals and having more snack options.

emoticon According to our scale, I have lost 6lbs this week. Last Sunday was the first time I weighed myself and I weighed very late in the day. I weighed myself a few times during the week out of curiosity, but at different times during the day and with clothes on. So I don't know that the loss is accurate. Also, I didn't actually weigh myself for my SP starting weight when I restarted this account on 7/26... I just went with about what I knew I was ...so my starting weight (weighing at night, with clothes on) was actually 267lbs. Again, I don't know if that is accurate. So I am going to weigh myself tomorrow morning and start from there.

Another frustration I have with this change is that I am doing almost all the work. My husband has been very ill (including spending a week in the hospital... not covid) since July 11th, so I understand that he can't do much right now. But it does just feel like I am making all these choices and they are just going along with it (except after I go to bed emoticon ). Our son did offer to try to make one of the new meals this last week, but that never happened. And I am sure my hubby will start making some new meals, once he is feeling better. I just really want us all to understand the meal choices and for them to be able to make good choices even when I'm not around.

This week we are going to add some exercising. emoticon Just a little to start with and probably not my hubby yet, but our son and I can get started. So here's to a 2nd week of SP! emoticon
