To Jump or not to Jump -

The title of this blog pretty much says it all, I took up residence on this plateau way before the pandemic decided to bless us with its company. I have been comfortably sitting in the middle of it ever since. I have thought about lots of things and decided lots of things while being here but the one thing that keeps coming back is the fact that I LOVE to eat! I have always known that I love to eat and although I really hate to say it, I do not LOVE to exercise. I also realized that I must make some changes to that fact and right soon that's for sure. There were days when I ventured to the edge of the plateau and took a quick look into my future. I thought it would be a good thing if I just jumped and let the landing sort itself out. The next thought that I had is nope, can't do that because I am a dyed in the wool CAPRICORN! We Capricorns, people born from about Dec 19th or so to about January 15 give or take, love to make plans. We plan and revise those plans and then ditch them and make new plans so the thought of just jumping off the plateau is never going to happen in my lifetime. I am secure in the knowledge that I will come up with the ideal plan to get off this plateau in good time and until then I will continue to bounce from the middle to the edge and back until the day that I have come up with the perfect plan to balance my love of eating with just the right amount of exercise. There is indeed a plan for that and I am on track to discover just what that might be. The best part is that I have all the time in the world to figure it out. Nothing has to be done right now today.

    You will make the right choice for yourself. I do not love to exercise either. I refer to mine as just movement or loving movement. This has helped do 225 plus days of walking in a row. On Jan. 1 I decided I would 20 minutes of movement every day for 100 days. I broke it down into 7 days (reward was a bubble bath or face mask) and continue that. Every Sunday I have a small pampering session (going to be early, reading my book longer, sitting in the sun, cranking my favorite music). Next I broke it down into 25 days (this reward is usually new bubble bath, a magazine, or something small). Day 100 came and I took my day off work to enjoy. I made is halfway through the year and bought new workout clothes. Not sure if it would help you but thought I would share what helped me. Good luck!

    I am a Capricorn and that is me loving to plan and re-work my plans . LOL Years ago I did not like exercise , but I read somewhere to keep repeating to your self "I love to exercise", soon it will become real. It truly changed my mindset and of course I love making exercise plans rather I ever get around to working my plan. LOL
