There was a touch of cool to the air today. I want more of this. I still haven't done my exercises that I'm supposed to do. Today, when the visiting nurse came in, Kitty Kaine did not run all the way to the basement. He stopped at the top step and waited. I doubt he's getting any less scared. He's just learning he won't be chased so he doesn't need to hide. I'd like him to be more confident and not run from visitors, but I doubt that will ever happen.

My Dad's cat always did this! Similar to ORTATK, when I would stay at my Dad's house for several days the cat would eventually come out to interact with me, and if I stayed long enough would even play. Dad told me I was the only other person the cat seemed to like, so if anything happened to him I would likely need to take his cat. Sure enough, when he died BeBe came to live with us during her last several years, and got to where she would even let my DH rub her whiskers!

We had a cat that hid. When there was a knock on the door we would say give the cat time to hide. I say your cat made great headway if it did not go entirely down the stairs. One of our last cats was my from my Dad, it was a lost cat my Dad brought in. It only liked him, and whenever anyone came it hid. It did have to change as my Dad got sick and my sister and I were in his home often. The cat came to me and it did adjust to me. It was really a wonderful cat. I currently have no pet and do miss the companionship of a pet.

I hope your exercises will be easier to do with the cooling air. Have a safe day.
