July Has Been a Blur!
Saturday, August 08, 2020
In the beginning of July, I decided to try intermittent fasting. It wasn't bad. I did not have a lot of difficulty following the plan. However, I did learn that a bit more planning will be needed for it to be successful.
In the process of all that, I kept forgetting to document my meals here. Then I allowed myself to get side-tracked.
I have kept up with my water drinking. I am now drinking 64oz or more each day. I still have had very little soda- a few sips here and there, but no full glasses since the end of May.
I am continuing to keep my garden. The weather has been less than cooperative at times, but things are still growing. We have had hurricane weather and severe thunderstorms a few times, damaging parts of the garden. This is only my first real garden - we (DD15 and I) had 1 tomato plant, 1 bell pepper plant and 1 zucchini plant. It was our trial garden. But this year, we went all out!
We have also been preparing for the new school year. We homeschool, but many of our friends do not- they, like everyone else, have been thrown into crisis schooling and are now facing online schooling for at least the first marking period. I've also been looking into what I can do to help our neighbor, who watches her grandson- he has learning disabilities and is very hyper, and she has cancer, so this year is going to be hard for her.
Meal planning is going to be something I am going to have to focus on more. I have to learn to balance things better than I have been.
time to get back to work!
