With the unusual year we are having, it had been some time since we had seen my niece Melanie, in Maryland.
She came up with an idea that would get my daughter Ashley, Melanie's mother Betsy (my sister) and myself up to a seafood restaurant for an outdoor lunch by the water.
Captain John's Crab House was the perfect spot.
With masks, sanitizer, wipes and all the rest we took off for what was a surprisingly fast and easy trip from Central VA to Cobb Island Maryland.
It was great to see each other and the seating could not have been more perfect.
Outside, no one was around and we had a beautiful view. We were in these big covered gliders! What fun to glide back and forth before our meal came.
We sat and talked for hours and the weather held out with no rain, even though in the forecast.
Here are a few photos of our afternoon together.
Melanie and Betsy
Here I am and you can see some of the view from where were sitting.
Our food was delicious. I had Flounder stuffed with crab and baked, coleslaw and hushpuppies. (had to take most of those home)
After our meal we walked along the water a bit, before we said our goodbyes and went our separate ways.
Ashley and I rode together and I appreciated her driving.
I know some of my spark friends had wanted to hear about and see photos, so this one is for you!
A great day was had by all.
Sorry I did not take any photos while we had our masks on.
