Day 30

Friday, August 07, 2020

It's day 30 and I am still here. The reward I reap is this rhythm of consistent work outs that give me so much more than the promise of reaching my weight loss goal. Those endorphins spring me into work, keep my mood stable, actually decrease my appetite (who knew?!) and I don't think it's a coincidence that my breakfasts are always spot on nutrition and calorie wise. I feel like I have one part of my healthy lifestyle down :)
Now for the hard part: I need to figure out how to stay on my nutrition plan.
I am actually looking forward to seeing what else will change in the days ahead. I don't look too far ahead. I just focus on showing up today and doing what it takes to be good to me, body, mind, spirit, just for today.

    Congrats on day 30!! emoticon

What's helped me to stay on plan is having at least one ready cooked dish plus fresh prepped veggies for salads, sandwiches and smoothies, steamed veggies and cooked starches (potatoes, rice), in the fridge to put together a healthy and filling meal, quickly. Sliced or chopped fruit in the fridge makes choosing a healthy snack a no brainer.

I set aside a few hours a week to prep & steam veggies, and cook potatoes, rice and two dishes. I have celery, onions, carrots, kale, spinach, mushrooms, bell peppers, garlic, ginger, etc.) that I chopped/sliced previously and soaked lentils in the freezer to make whipping up dishes fast and hassle free. Good luck!
