Weather App

Tuesday, August 04, 2020

My hibiscus are blooming! What delicate huge blooms they are. WHen I look out my back window and see them. I feel like they are smiling at me.
It rained most of the night. Very heavy at times. It is raining now. NOt to heavy but a steady rain. It is cloudy and gloomy looking.
I use a weather app on my phone to keep track of the weather. I look at it every morning and every evening before I go to bed, to plan what I will wear that day. I also use it as a guide as to when or if I can get my outdoor yard laps in.
WHen I first got my phone I added a weather app I used on my precious phone and liked. But when I tried to personalize it to my town/zip code, it would not use that. Instead it keep giving me a town in PA (I live in NJ) which is down river from me. NO matter how I tried, it would not add my town.
I found this odd because I have the app on my ipad and it uses my town. I have it on my computer and it uses my town. I had it on my previous phone and it used my town.
I deleted the app from my phone and decided to use the weather app that came with the phone. It had no problem using my town.
This morning when I got up and looked at the app, I had to laugh.
ON the hourly forecast. each and every hour from 6 am( when I got up), until 6 pm it shows 100% chance of rain. Yet, when I scrolled down the description in words, it said "Mostly sunny today".. What??? I shut it down and opened it again. Still said "Mostly sunny" . Even now, 4 hours later, "Mostly sunny today. Currently raining"
I am going to take that "Mostly sunny today" and make my day into a mostly sunny day, no matter if it is raining, windy and storming all day.
It is all about attitude and I guess my weather app has a sunny one today. How about you?
