Good news and better news

The good news is that I had a small, deluxe cheeseburger for breakfast and not only was it absolutely delicious it filled me up until I still feel very full, an hour after eating. I wasn't planning on eating a cheeseburger for breakfast, but I unexpectedly was out of the house all morning and I got hungry. I replaced my lunch for it and because it was a kiddie sized burger with no mayonnaise and no fries, I can still eat a piece of fruit and I'll be good on my calorie and nutrition totals.
The better news is that my A1c number must have been good enough while it was tested in the hospital that my doctor is no longer worried that I have diabetes. I'm so relieved! I imagine I'll still have to get tested at the end of the month, and anyway my plan was to move as much as possible and eat well, so I'm not changing my plan, but it's good not to have the threat of diabetes hanging over my head. For now. My parents and my sister all have, or had, diabetes, so it's something I worry about.
For the rest of the day I'm going to be walking whenever possible, and continuing to work on my wedding. I'm euphoric from the news, and from spending the morning running errands with my fiance, and from the lovely cheeseburger that didn't kill my eating plan. I feel better today than I have in about a week, and I'm grateful for the good things that have already happened today.
