Week 5 and nothing has been moved out and now I know why. Being resourceful I found out my son was fired for drinking on the job. The room is unlivable and we threw out the bed and stripped the room down to fix what he destroyed. All of his stuff is in boxes and now with no employment he cannot keep paying rent. Being homeless he cannot take all of his stuff with him. Now - More tough decisions as it’s not healthy for him to live here again. We’re just getting used to the idea of having a home and I don’t want to be a storage unit nor pay for one. I am in the shock mode as this is current news I was not expecting. I’m looking at options for treatment centers so when he does come here and tell us I am prepared since he has no idea we know. He needs help before it’s too late and I can’t fix him or help him,

Wishing you you luck with finding a solution to this latest challenge. How old is your son? I have been there in the past with my sons but tough love worked and both eventually matured.

This is just terrible news for you. There comes a point where you just can't help a person, no matter how hard you try. This is heartbreaking for you.

emoticon for another "bump" in your road to reclaiming your home. With prayer and love, you will get over this bump or flatten it. This too, shall pass. The condition your son left his room, reflects the state of his mind and heart. He's overwhelmed and doesn't know where to start. I hope your son will want to change his lifestyle because until he wants it, it won't happen. I am so sad for him.

I’m so sorry for all you are going through , while my circumstances with a family member were similar they were not the same . And by Gods mercy and grace we are now on the other side of it . I’m so proud of you for realizing that you are not able to help , it really is the your son’s decision all the way . I will be praying for your family .

You are so brave, what a hard place to be in. I would try to be a united front with your husband. Remember You are not alone. Good luck to you and your family.
