Crazy fun week

I had a great week this week! I started my new job and it was incredibly exciting. It will be a fast paced environment (which I like) and the people are great! Lots of great benefits, too.
I felt a little under the weather at the start of the week but am feeling great now. My stomach was really bothering me. I'm not sure if it was something I ate, or just poor eating in general. But it was certainly a wake up call. I worked really hard to improve my health and enjoyed the benefits for many years. I cannot let shelter in place push me off the rails of progress I've fought so hard to attain. Of course, my weight has always been a struggle. But I had gotten to place where I felt relatively health, fit and well, even if I wasn't at my ideal weight. And it appears that I've taken that for granted. I need to be gentle with myself - there is a global pandemic, after all - but I also need to get back on track, stat. I'm really excited that my treadmill has arrived -- now we just have to get the darn thing set-up!
I attended a socially distanced, outdoor dance class at a park in Albany today. It was with one of my long time instructors and a community of dancers I have been shimmying with since 2012. I have been doing the online classes, and enjoying them. But there is no substitute for the vibrant in-person experience of dance and I felt totally nourished by the sun, camraderie and music.
Plan for the Week of 8/3
* Get treadmill set-up and start walking!
* Attend two dance classes (virtual or in person)
* Continue to eat simply - my stomach is still recovering
* Continue to eat smaller portions
