Word of the Day: Trust

Wednesday, July 15, 2020

Last night I didn't get to sleep until 2am, but I was able to sleep soundly until 7:30 so that helped a lot. I'm going to try SleepMode as straight Melatonin is not doing anything. It is also all natural. Tim had it with him in Colorado so I didn't even think of it until I saw it on the counter this morning.

I checked email and downloaded the bank transactions and since there was not any paid work waiting for me I chose to clean the kitchen and then got my jigsaw puzzle out. I watched a couple of Hallmark Christmas movies while I worked. Love Christmas in July!

It is definitely different working on a miniature puzzle. It's about 12" x 16" and 1000 pieces. First time I've needed to use my puzzle roll-up and that worked well.

I made a Parmesan Crusted Tilapia for supper and it was very good. Broiling it was the right choice. After all that was cleared up we had family Bible study and then I watched a couple of Carol Burnett episodes while Tim helped Maegann with something on her car. Now Tim and I are catching up on America's Got Talent episodes, Isaac's gaming and Maegann is out Door Dashing once again.

No idea about tomorrow so will play it by ear.

Wanted to share this meme of an actual photo taken in N. Idaho. I found it funny.

I agree with Michelle - that sign describes our lives right now.

I had to experiment with different Melatonin products and find that the time release varieties work best for me. Also combining them with Valerian Root helped. I did a lot of research to make sure I wasn't mixing stuff I shouldn't. My doctor told me though that you have to take a break from all those supplements for sleep now and again because eventually your body stops reacting to it and it becomes ineffective. So I stop for a few days if I find I'm going back into a bad sleep pattern and then start it back up again. Just a thought for you. We all have to figure out what works best for us. I've tried so many things though that I at least have an idea of what helps me now. Walking is another thing that really helps. Not sure if you can do that with your knee but we were taking evening walks until it got so hot and that helps me sleep better. Right now I only seem to be sleeping the best from 12:00 am to 4:30 am. emoticon But I can at least fall back asleep again until close to when my alarm is set for 6 am.

I'm glad that you had a quiet afternoon. I hope that sleep came easier last night.

That sign feels like my life! Everybody says oh no big deal, just bumps in the road, but it sure feels like a half a mountain came down in my path this year.
