Being raised in the city, nope not too much. But when I went to my Aunt's Dairy farm we did, or at least we tried too. I'm not sure if we caught any or not, but we were on the look out for frogs. Thanks for bringing back memories. 22 days ago
i grew up in the city o no tadpoles, but moved to the county after marriage and when our son got old enough to join cub scouts i ended up becoming a leader. lived beside in laws and they had a pond. FIL one year bought tadpole to put in pond to turn into frogs. i was able to have a few to put in a fish tank for the cud scouts to see them change. each week they came they went to the porch to see the change each week. we eventually released them at the pond. the boys really enjoyed this.
thank you for the memories. have a Grand Tuesday. 22 days ago
This morning as I was watering the flower, Toady was not so happy with me, as he/she kept hopping ahead of the hose, and I could just see her doing that, but it is so fat the it would take a pretty stocky stem to hold it. It has been in that big flower bed in front of the house all year, and I think it is a she, as there was 2 small one early on, but they of course have moved on to start their own lives. 22 days ago
You would win that bet! In fact I had a tank full of them just a few years ago. We have three ponds on our property, and one of them is devoted to the frogs. Each spring we watch the transformation. And then the summer we watch the little tree frogs 22 days ago
