Catching Up

Saturday, July 11, 2020

I didn't write a blog post yesterday, time just got a way from me. There is something so freeing about finally making a decision. On Thursday the faculty chair of my school randomly texted me. I saw it as a sign and decided it was the perfect time to tender my resignation. Needless to say she was a little shocked. But I feel so much better - no more anxiety or uncertainty. Now I can move ahead with whatever plans I want to make. Those have not been made yet.

On a little bit different note my husband might be offered a full time position. Just depends on the schedule and the pay. Will be nice for him to work only days and have 2 real off days during the week.

Yesterday was a busy day here. A couple of boys (stray dogs) came to visit my girls. Ruby goes crazy when visitors come. She was outside yelping and crying so loud I thought she was hurt. But it was just excitement. Silly puppy! They took a nice long rest after that so I decided to go into the kitchen and make lunch. I looked in the hallway near the back door and it looked to me like a DEAD BIRD laying on my floor! I have to admit I was horrified. I texted my husband and told him that he would have to get rid of it. I just couldn't. So he came home. Asked where it was. Got some paper towel and came back looking a little annoyed. Holding it in his hand he said "its a toy." What? What kind of toy? Apparently it was some kind of superhero toy with a cape that looks like wings. I was relieved and felt a little stupid. Guess it really is time for new glasses!

Until next time...
Be Well.
