Staying busy today

Wednesday, July 08, 2020

I've already done some cleaning this morning and before noon I want to- put everything together for a pot roast cooked in the slow cooker, transplant some basil seedlings, clean out the refrigerator, and do the dishes that my boyfriend's kids left in the sink overnight. (Sounds judgmental but I've done that too.) Then I'm having lunch and doing some cleaning in the bedroom and the bathroom, which majorly needs doing but has fallen by the wayside while I've been sick. I'm pretty sure I have the energy to do all of it, which is pretty exciting, under the circumstances.

I went to the doctor yesterday and everything looks good except that my incision isn't healing like it should. I asked if I need to do anything differently and the Dr told me to use antibiotic cream when I change my dressings, so hopefully that will help. I don't have a fever and I feel good otherwise, except for some maddening itching along the incision, which I'm pretty sure is normal.

I've just got to relate what I did with my grapefruit this morning. I usually put a little bit of cinnamon on it, but today I added ginger, turmeric, and a dash of cayenne. It was really good. I'm a spice fanatic, so any time I can add spices or herbs I'm happy. I don't have any more grapefruits but next time I get them I'm definitely adding the spices again.

HOPE that the antibiotic cream helps you! HUGS
