“ Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine...”
We had sold our farm in order to go in Missions. The only condition on the sale was that we needed to be out of the house in six weeks. We began searching for a house to rent for our family of eight. Weeks kept going by and nothing was available. What to do? I pleaded with God to come up with something with only two weeks left to go. Even though it seemed impossible, I heard God say to us, “ Trust Me.” A few days later I got a call from a farmer about 6 miles down the road from where we lived. He said, “ I heard you sold your farm and are looking for a place to live. I just bought the farm beside me and it has a house with six bedrooms that you can rent. I will give it too you at a very reasonable cost and you can stay or go whenever you want.” We looked at it and it met our needs completely. What an answer to prayer. But God was not finished with this yet. That farmer and his family became good friends and they began to support us in our ministry to go to Ecuador. They also purchased quite a few things from our auction as we sold all of our belongings. I learned a valuable lesson that year. When you have a need take it to God. Listen as He says, “Trust Me.” And you will find that, “ God is able to do immeasurably more than we ask and or imagine.” What a great God we serve.Time and time again God has done immeasurably more than I can ask or imagine. In the words of the apostle Paul, “ To Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever.! Amen. My prayer is that all church members will live like this. Total faith and trust in God, watch Him work and join Him in that work, ascribing all glory and praise to Him alone.
