An amazing weekend

I didn't know how the weekend was going to go, but it was much better than I could have expected. I got lots of rest and I ate to address my anemia problem, and found a cast iron pan to cook with for extra iron, I did more walking than I've done in months, watched fireworks in a cute small town, went grocery shopping, got engaged, and just generally had a pretty good time. Tomorrow I go to the doctor for a follow-up appointment and it's amazing to me how much better I'm doing. I had to visit the doctor two weeks ago to have my surgical drain removed and I could hardly walk and I was mentally exhausted and in a lot of pain. I had to drag myself down the halls of the hospital because no one could come with me because of the virus, but two weeks later? I'm steady on my feet, well rested and well nourished, itching from the healing going on in my body but otherwise pain-free, so much stronger and so much happier. It feels like a miracle. I'm certain that my decision to start cooking again and eating nutritious food helped, and I'm so glad I did.
