Tomorrow begins the Summer 5 % Challenge. For Week 1 we've been assigned to establish a routine and stick to it -- we receive points for sticking to it. I thought it best to write it where I can easily refer to it, so that I can be sure to do all the salient activities. I did not include grocery shopping, etc. since things like that are not everyday occurrences. In fact, I try to go to any businesses as seldom as possible.
Since my already established routine is a pretty good one for me, I am just jotting it down here and will make sure that I adhere to it, even during the holiday. I declined invitations to celebrate the holiday with friends. I just don't feel safe to do that yet.
I don't normally snack -- if I get overly hungry before dinner, I may have a piece of fruit -- peach, apple, or banana, or a few grapes or cherries. I don't plan it because I try not to snack.
Usual Daily Routine
6:00-7:00 am Wake up, check the temperature, get up, do morning hygiene
7:00-7:30 am Begin 3-mile walk
8:00- 8:30 Yard work
9:00 am Rest
9:30-10:00 am Check in on SP
10:00-11:00 am Zoom exercise with friends
9:00 am or 11:00 am Break my 16-hour fast
11:30-1:30 pm Declutter project (Going through clothes, photos, and papers)
2:00 pm Clean house
3:00 pm Read novel
4:00 pm Prepare dinner
5:00-7:00 pm Eat dinner
7:00 pm Watch Wheel of Fortune
7:30 pm Call family or friends
8:00 pm Watch HGTV or BRAVO or OWN; Select videos for Zoom exercise, Declutter email
10:00 pm Lights out (actually the TV is usually watching me at that point)
*Drink 2 cups of water every 2 hours from 8 am to 2 pm.
