trying to get back to my tracking

Trying to get back to tracking my food and fitness and getting serious about getting out for walks in nature and time outside. I am really struggling to make the necessary changes and it is going to take baby steps and one thing at a time. First back to tracking, don't know why it has been so hard for me to be consistent. But all I can do is try again.
I am needing some kind of guidance on diet, but Sparks meal plans are too restrictive and don't include many foods. Does anyone know an eating plan that might help me, something with everyday foods and easy to follow. I am open to any suggestions you have. Something sensible that will help me keep my calories in line.
Just paid to get started back with Spark Coach to help me keep my mind on my goals.

    Baby steps is the best way to get back on track. I love spending time outdoors in nature too. I'm a snacker so intermittent fasting works for me with an 8 hour window for eating each day. I usually choose 11am -7pm and find I eat less on days when I do this. Hope you find a plan that works for you!

    Sometimes tracking on a piece of paper helps get me back on track. And something about putting pen to paper clicks in my head and helps me LOOK at what I'm taking in. Like when I have to use a calculator and then write it down, it makes me go um ok, maybe I'll have more of x and less of y. That way I'm still eating things I enjoy, but learning to adjust them to suit a weight loss pattern.

    Baby steps are good! I like tracking my food because it keeps track of everything for me. I have tried different diets but found in the end that I would rather just watch the calories and not give anything up.

    Tracking is a wonderful tool! It helps so much to get the full perspective on what we are eating!

    I am not a nutritionist, but it helps me to try to keep it simple. I focus on eating mostly healthy foods (fruits, veggies, whole grains, lean meats, and healthy fats) and tracking them to stay in my calorie range. There is room for little treats too as long as I count the calories into my daily budget. That keeps it from getting too complicated and you get to eat food you actually enjoy!

    I know weight watchers is easy to follow with everyday foods. I turned the spark people food plan off and just track my everyday foods. I don’t do anything special but try to stay in my calorie limits.
