Because of the pandemic, I decided to cancel my trip to Peru. This was a difficult decision, but what clinched it was not wanting to risk endangering my beloved parents-in-law. As it is, my brother-in-law was afflicted for a while. I thank God he recovered.

Levi hasn't been working, and I have occasionally sent him money to help the family. Peru has also been hit by the Covid-19 virus, and people who were already needy are suffering even more. So Levi and I are ministering as a team - I'm the money raiser (mainly through Facebook) and he and his son go out and buy groceries and cleaning supplies, then the family divides everything up into bags for distribution. Even little Kaleb, who will be 3 next month, participates in the labor.

Because people are desperate, one has to consider safety, so a couple of friends from church come along in another motokar to help with the distribution. Of course, everyone wears masks.

Levi has told me the people are worried, but then someone comes along with this blessing, and their faces change.
So far we've made 3 distributions. Levi says everyone wants a bag, of course, but they go out looking for the most needy. It just pains him that he can't give out more.

My goal is to continue the fundraiser until our 4th anniversary on August 3. Of course, I would have liked to have raised enough to do one distribution a week, but we are glad that we've been able to do even this. God has been so good as He touches people's hearts to contribute - some MULTIPLE times - and it is a joy to be used as vessels of His love in the midst of this crisis.
If you have it in your heart to help a family ($10 US goes far!) you can use this link.
or you can contact me through Spark mail for an address if you want to send a check or use Google pay or paypal. ALL DONATIONS GO DIRECTLY TO BUYING NECESSITIES FOR DISTRIBUTION. I absorb the incidental costs myself. Sorry, it's not tax deductible (perhaps in the future Levi and I will work on that aspect.)
I'll be glad when Levi and I can actually work together PHYSICALLY. But for now, this will do.
