Under Stress /

Friday, June 19, 2020

Oh wow - the shelves are starting to be empty at the stores again as our County and the next announced last night that every ones is required to wear face mask in public as our cases are skyrocketing. My town is seeing more positive cases too.

I called my son yesterday about having problems renewing my inspection sticker on line...come to find out he was in town. He has been having some heart pains and had one when he was here on Friday. Wednesday night he had a really bad one and thought he was going to pass out. He called his doctor and was told to go to the ER... nope.

In the morning after dealing with another very rude customer it hit him really hard - had to go into his office. He then remembered my cousin who is a top Cardiologist and called just to ask questions. My cousin told him he was on his way to his office and to meed him there NOW!!

He has all test done (like he told me - he was catching up to me!) and today is wearing a 24 hour heart monitor. He will be back today to have it removed.

I believe this is a wake up call as I have been trying to let him be aware of exactly what the doctor told him.

* Stress at work
* This Corvid Virus Stress at work
* Not eating until very late
* Drinking coffee and monster drinks
* Not sleeping well
* Quit exercising / gained weight
*** He doesn't eat anything greezy - makes his own food - mainly from the fish he catches - doesn't like sweets - I really can't understand where the weight is coming from and neither did the doctor.

He finally had some blood work which I believe it's been years.

He wouldn't tell me his blood pressure, but they had to check it 3 times as they couldn't believe how high it was. When I mentioned the 60's / 70's he said higher. Oh my gosh!

Please keep him in your prayers.

His main thing right now is stress at work. Customers can be so rude.

He has registered for on line classes for his masters or a different degree - to better himself and get a better job. - I forget - Stress

He is using his money for this so he has to keep his job as I told him.

He used to be really good financially and I almost asked him for some money to hold me over but had no idea he has put so much into the books / and this on line classes.

Me? Just like him / or him - just like me?

I have hit rock bottom in my checking account, that's why I wanted to ask him for money. The money that I would get for lessons was used for essential items (groceries etc) and I have used my debit card.
One of my bills - the promotion expired and they charged me $4,XXX plus the interest which brought my min up. Jeeze For some reason my payment hadn't been going towards the promotion all this time.

Just to mention a few. I have been having chest pains and he knew it too. I went to get tested for the virus as I had 4 of the symptoms. Negative! The tightness in the chest is stress also and if you remember I had that high count of my BP.

Why am I writing this?

You are my Spark friends. You are good listeners. You know that when we are under stress we EAT. That is why we are here to listen and help each other. Crying - I sure miss my parents right now.

I don't want to talk to my relatives about this again - their first response would be to get rid of all the pets. Never, that's what keeps me going.

I should just delete this.

Last night I rolled up all the coins that I have been saving but now I'm too embarrassed to take them to my bank. I need to find a neighbor to take it to their bank and write me a check so I can deposit it with my phone in private!! lol

Sorry for venting - at least it kept me from opening the fridge for a few minutes. Actually I don't have much in the fridge!!!!

Please give advise - strong or soft.

Do you have any food pantries where you live?
That's a way to get food and you don't have to let anyone else know you are doing it.

I am always being advised to call the bank, call my credit cards etc. and negotiate. Your payments were supposed to be going toward the promo and they weren't? Call them and ask why. Try to get a reduction.

Just so you know, I don't always take the advice I am supposed to take myself. Don't be embarrassed about taking in your coins! I do it all the time. I live in an apartment building with a coin operated laundry. I am constantly converting cash into coins or taking coins to convert into cash. I even saved two plastic containers for Christmas M & M candies--they just happen to hold quarters perfectly!

PS I am eating my stress too. My neighbors are foul, nasty, and loud all night long--that's stress. Covid-19--that's stress. My familly is spread out all over the country in different states---that's stress. My mother now has dementia, my father and uncle both are diabetic and my Aunt has Parkinson's. My cousins work in a sheltered work shop and they must wear masks but they have all returned to work. I worry about my family and the virus every minute of the day. I have been praying a lot. Don't know if that's an option for you, but it's all I have at my disposal.

I am so sorry with the stress you are feeling. I know what's happening there is a horrendous change from earlier. We just got a note from our park and most things have been shut down yet again so my mom is now in the house and not playing games or cards again beginning tomorrow. That in itself is enough stress. I am sending prayers and positive thoughts for your son and also for you. You may need to go for some additional financial assistance for the times that you have lost your students. I am praying hard for you Marcy! God bless and I know prayer works as you keep the faith. This news from the virus may keep us north much longer than usual and may interfere with our entire winter in getting down there. Time will tell.

I have been a widow for 4 years now and in the past 7 months have had 6 stents, just got 2 last week. I know about stress and doing the best that I can. Praying for you and your son. I am also in Georgia, staying home 99% of the time and wearing my mask the few times I have gone into a grocery store.

You came to the right place to vent and we listen! I don't have any stress like you and your son but right now I'm wearing a heart monitor, was hooked up to it on Wednesday till this weekend. Wouldn't you know, nothing going on with my heart while I have it on!!

I pray things turn around for you, you're such a good person. I wouldn't want to give up pets either, they are our companions. Try to take it easy, don't let a little thing like taking rolled coins to a bank embarrass you, you aren't the only one doing that. I won't say don't worry about your son because being a mom also, I know all of us moms worry about our kids, grown or not! Just keep an open mind and keep him solid in your prayers.

I hope putting it down in a blog has helped you. I'm glad you did! Sending you many hugs and please know you're in my thoughts and prayers. I care!

So sorry for all you've been going through. This Covid has been stressful for so many people. I've been a widow now for just over 3 years. Many days I spend completely alone except for the dogs and cats. Prayers for you and your son also. I live in Georgia, USA. Our state is pretty much open, but I'm still wearing a mask if I do go out, which isn't often. Hope that today is better for you.
