A Long Way To Go

I was shocked by my size in this picture...

This is my niece, her baby, and me social distance walking on June 13th, 2020.

I've lost 24 pounds since January 1st. At home, my legs look so much longer and thinner. My waist looks smaller too. Then I saw this picture and thought... "Oh, I've got a long way to go."

My other thought is that "Soon, the image in my mind will be my reality." Well, not longer legs, but the other positive body changes. I just need to keep making more healthy choices than unhealthy ones. Keep exercising and logging my meals and believe that this time I'm making a lifestyle change.

    WOW! 24 lbs. down is GREAT! Congratulations! Like you (and we belong to a club of many), I've had my ups and downs. This is my "umpti-ninth" restart, LOL! I weigh in on Tuesdays. It seems so much slower this time around. I gotta get out and walk, like you and your niece, or it will take me "forever"! Best wishes on this most recent chapter of your wellness journey!

    I remember an 'aha' moment for myself many years ago--thinking I looked just fine, until I saw pictures--which left me............. emoticon in a reality check---therefore took the bull by the horns and turned things around. No doubt, you are headed in a good direction! You can do it!

    (Btw, has your niece seen the photo? The younger you are to start looking after your body, the easier it is to be a habit.)
