After watching Forks over Knives and What the Health on Netflix recently, my husband and I are trying to eat healthier, whole foods. For the most part, we have been doing pretty good. We're not striving for perfection, but are learning better ways to prepare meals and really think about what we buy. I have fallen off the wagon over the years here. I have noticed one thing already after changing to a more veggie-based joints don't seem as stiff as they were. Could be my imagination, but I don't think so. I'm tracking again, too. I also lost 2 pounds last week.

I've struggled with arthritis since I was in my 20s but it was until thirty years later that I discovered that less sugar more veggies equaled a lot less pain.

I try to add as many fruits and veggies as I can into my meal planning for both me and my husband but I too fall off track. Trying to get my head on straight this weekend and push forward again instead of backwards.

Kudos to you! Several years ago I decided that if I couldn’t kill it, I shouldn’t eat it. So meat has not been an option. I do eat eggs and dairy though. Other than that I try to eat next to NO flour and sugar as they are my “crack”!
