To JPPERSELL: I live in Mid=Michigan at the base of your left thumb.
Our high humidity and heat lifted for two days reprieve, so we are going to get the grill out of the shed, clean some windows and the patio door. I think I may give Luciano` a spit bath inside and out.
I have been checking our state website for virus updates and closings. I want to take day trips, but the rest areas were closed for the most part. As of ten minutes ago, the only thing I see closed on I75 up to Munising is the St. Ignace welcome center. We usually stop there as the last place before stopping in Munising at the cabin.
We stop at Sea Shell City if we are there after nine o'clock when they open. It is up near Waters, Topinabee, Indian River area, so only a half hours south of the Mackinac Bridge.
One major change in the bridge this year, for the very first time since it opened in 1958, no cash is allowed, only credit cards or MACPASSES with no-touch policy. Very strange for me.
I am still wavering about vacation up there.. I am watching for the next three weeks, then need to make the call if I decide to cancel. Tick-tock.
I am just happy that I am still virus-free.
