Well, nearly the end of the month, and I didn't set my goals too high--and I almost reached them all for this month...

Where I failed: logging. I do log everyday, but usually the dinner meal I don't log because it's at the end of the day and by the time we finishing eating, the kids are settled into bed and the other things are done, I don't usually get down to do it. I've done it a couple of days the next morning, but don't always remember EVERYTHING I had the night before. But, I've been fairly consistent.

Where I've been successful: exercise. It's not been intensive or demanding, but it's been consistent and just the mental value of it is great. I've taken to cycling during the confinement and now that we are easing out of it, I've rediscovered a true pleasure. It's an old, clunky cycle, but it gets me where I need to go and it brings me back to the freedom experienced as a child when I would take my cycle because it was my mode of transport. I've driven less than 150 miles in 2 months and more than 1/2 of that was to see a chiropractor who moved his office to another town, but I'm certain I've cycled far more than 150 miles. A little everyday to take me to do errands, etc. Not fast, but pleasurable.

Tomorrow will be scale day: I have aimed for 2 kg by the end of the month. I think I'm on target. I can't feel that I've dropped anything at all, but I've been pretty consistent about watching what goes into my mouth and with the hotter temps, have been really good about drinking water (and wine!)...

Time to think about June goals...
