The pillowcase full of masks are now clean and steam-ironed. We rarely come in contact with anybody except at Kroger. We did go to Aldi in April for huge stock-up, but other than that we
are away from everybody.

The high heat and humidity days will continue until the weekend when it will be in the 60's, so we keep the windows closed for now. I wanted to continue to clean some more of them this week, but it is not worth an asthma attack from the humidity.
Yesterday we got a real humdinger of a thunderstorm that left another half-inch of rain here, with more on the way .
DD took a solo drive yesterday and saw heavy current in A PERSON'S FRONT YARD! Not a ripple or splash, but actual gully-washing current through this yard. It is about a mile from here out by the farms, where lots of fields are just under water.
Corn soybeans, sugar beets, wheat, potatoes. All under a lot of water. Miles of this.
Michigan is in a world of hurt with covid, floods, harassment from trump. I continue to pray that people practice gratitude.
I fully support Whitmer since numbers have proven that without her limits, the spread would be worse here. Just because a presidential order opens things, it does not mean it is safe. Sane people must help themselves..

My dear friend does not believe in any restrictions and traveled across the country a month ago with her very ill husband, then her son just came back from Texas with his girlfriend, staying with people in a big camping park with people from all over the country! They think it is safe because they are not indoors! Now they came back after being around all of those people.. that is why it keeps spreading, but people act rashly and selfishly.
I love them all dearly, but stepped back from an argument with my friend, whom I have never, ever had a cross word with in 54 years. It makes me sad.
