I'm back!

Friday, May 22, 2020

I was just now able to get into my account tonight after several months. This is because I could not even get into my email account. But, here's where I am. 2019 was a devastating year for me and I'm still recovering from it. Then, Covid 19 started which has changed things forever. It's not been easy for me. Since lockdown I have gained weight because the gym is closed and I don't burn enough calories by just walking. Also, I just stopped smoking after 54 years! All this combined has led me to gain weight again. I was weighing in at the 160+ mark and I lost all that weight because of stress and grief, the lowest weight I hit was 124. Now I've gained it all back. It didn't take long. But I'm ready to lose it again, not by stress or grieving, but doing it the healthy way. Thanks for reading.

Welcome back. And emoticon for giving up smoking, very hard for sure. I never smoked, but my father did and was so hard for him. Being on spark and your spark buddies will help you stay motivated and lose that weight. emoticon emoticon

Quitting smoking is NOT an easy thing to do, and I want to congratulate you on doing that!
I am sorry last year was so difficult for you, but I do hope that you have moved to the other side of the valley of grief, and now you are feeling stronger to lose the weight once again.
Just take it in the stride that is most comfortable for you, and that might vary from day to day. Keep putting one foot in front of the other, and if necessary, take it one choice at a time.
I wish you success to fuel your journey and your spirit. emoticon emoticon
