End in Sight

Wednesday, May 20, 2020

I've been watching Georgia which completely opened up towards the end of April.
Their Covid deaths are still on the decline.
Our state is now in phase 2 of opening up.
I'm back to looking human!
Our Church is opening for weekday Masses next week.
Our governor indicated everything will be opening at the end of the month.
I'll still remain prudent.

I pray for the day we can go someplace safely here. There are still way too many cases and deaths here.
Our lockdown has been extended until Mid June, but I may not take a vacation in July-August because people from other states and southern Michigan come to the place I go. They bring the virus with them and it begins again.

I am 1,000% behind our governor for her prudence.

I think it's wishful thinking that 'the end is in sight.' Especially since, "More than 100,000 coronavirus cases were reported to the World Health Organization in the previous 24 hours, "the most in a single day since the outbreak began," Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said Wednesday.

"We still have a long way to go in this pandemic," he said at a news conference in Geneva. "In the last 24 hours, there have been 106,000 cases reported to WHO — the most in a single day since the outbreak began."

Tedros added that almost "two-thirds of these cases were reported in just four countries," although he did not specify where the cases had been recorded.

The countries with the highest numbers of confirmed cases are the U.S., Russia, Brazil and the U.K., according to the WHO..." as reported by NBC today.

Prudence and common sense is most definitely needed as the stats seem to indicate.

Great news for Georgia. Texas is starting the reopening but a lot of people are still afraid to come out. It will take time.

We are in phase 2, but we are taking it one step at a time. We did a sit down in a restrurant tonight. Not back to normal. It was a lively open place and they have sealed all off. Told Hubby not happy with the new look

That's good news for you, but just as you said, you will need to remain prudent. What state are you in?
