My favourite pressed flower technique was with paper. Placed between newspaper,
or any kind of paper, then pressed between heavy book pages. There's nothing better
than pressing blooms for 3 weeks only to open them and find perfect flowers.
Then did you ever put the dried flowers between waxed paper with a tea towel covering
it to protect the works, as you lightly iron over them to preserve it all in wax?
I used to do that with autumn coloured leaves too.
Ironing dried leaves between two layers of wax paper helps
preserve delicate items. The light wax coating provided by the wax paper
prevents decay because it keeps moisture away. Bet you did...
