Hello spark friends. How is your weekend going? It is raining here today, we were supposed to get rain yesterday as well but it was kind enough to hold off until the evening so I could get in a walk and get my flowers planted.
I thought I would share yesterday's walk with you as well. We walked up and down Summit Avenue which has some of the nicest homes in the city. They look like some English manors and are so well built with stone, brick and they are sometimes 4 levels high with little carriage houses in their backyard.

This is part of the view from an area that you can look out over the city. As you can see, Minnesota has so much green and lushness. It truly is a beautiful state to live in, even with all the snow and cold. I think it makes us hearty! emoticon

As much as I would have loved to take a few photos of the homes, I felt that would be rude so I just took lots of pics of trees and the flowers bordering these homes.

And we found this little coffee shop and we just couldn't resist their cream cheese croissant. Oh goodness, it was absolutely worth every bite. Almost like being back in France!!

After our long walk, we stopped at home to drop off my hubby and I headed to the flower store. And since I was there by myself, I could pick all the flowers I wanted. My cart was overflowing! I went home to get started and I was able to get all but 1 of my planters planted. I will need to buy a few more for the last one.
Here is the result of my shopping spree!

There are so many beautiful things to plant this time of year. It was hard to choose. Some of the little plants looked a bit sad and some were water logged so I stayed away from those. It used to intimidate me a bit to plant flowers, what if they died? I wasn't very good at keeping those things alive, but it is about learning and reading about them and what to do to take care of them!
And one last photo of my little lemon tree, she is doing so well and has 1 lemon growing where there were blooms last month.

Have a spectacular day and do something that makes you happy.
Spark on! and thanks for visiting!
