Grateful

Part of the WW challenge this week is to list at least three things we are grateful for.
I lost 0.8 pounds this week. But I am extremely grateful that this small weight loss led me to one of my big goals. After 20 years of being obese, I am out of the obese category! Maybe most people wouldn’t be thrilled to be overweight; but for me this is a big achievement, and was one of my main goals for joining SparkPeople and WW. I just lowered my health risks yay!
I am grateful for all the wildlife that lives in my area. Particularly now that I am staying home, I love watching the birds, the bats at night, the squirrels, the chipmunks, and the deer. This morning while I had breakfast, the deer herd was having their breakfast across the street where my neighbors are remodeling their property. The birds and animals are beautiful and they bring me joy. Much more fun than watching television!
Finally I am so grateful for all my friends. I am grateful for you, my friends here at Spark. And I am grateful for my friends that I normally hike and visit with. As I was typing this blog, I got the very sad news that a dear friend, Shari, died suddenly this morning. She had a zest for life and enjoyed every minute. She had several serous medical conditions ( heart, lung) but traveled, skied, and hiked with enthusiasm. An aneurysm took her very suddenly.
So remember to appreciate and express your love to your friends and family. They are what make life worth living
