No greater love has anyone but to lay down his life for his friends.
Now is the time to serve the Lord by serving others. When we ask for forgiveness of all our sins, Christ forgives us. He has risen!
Good Friday and Rejection
This is the day that Christ experienced his greatest rejection. People mock when they do not understand. Since a servant is no greater than his Lord, we will also be mocked, ridiculed and rejected by some as well.
It hurts to be left out of a circle of love and friendship, then put out in the cold. Alone. Those closest to us have the greatest ability to hurt us. They can humiliate us the most, making us a public spectacle.
At times, nothing seems to be able to appease their anger, for they are “hell-bent” on destroying me. Do not despair! The good news is that resurrection is coming. We will rise!
