The washing of the feet and the sacrament of the Eucharist: two expressions of one and the same mystery of love entrusted to the disciples, so that, Jesus says, “as I have done… so also must you do” (Jn 13: 15).~Pope John Paul II~~I can only eat glitter and rainbows. Darn my sensitive stomach!~Bob Shea~~Always be yourself, unless you can be a unicorn. Then, always be a unicorn.~Jaime Murray~~Never play leapfrog with a unicorn.~Benny Hill~~We shall go forward together. The road upwards is stony. There are upon our journey dark and dangerous valleys through which we have to make and fight our way. But it is sure and certain that if we persevere - and we shall persevere - we shall come through these dark and dangerous valleys into a sunlight broader and more genial and more lasting than mankind has ever known.~Winston Churchill~~There is nothing government can give you that it hasn't taken from you in the first place.~Winston Churchill~~Fear is a reaction. So during these uncertain times WW and my 5% Spring Weight Loss Challengers suggest we find a routine. That routine will keep us on track and help us adapt to our new "norm"! Ever since our governor anounced that our state shutdown will possibly last until June 10 and I found out that the guys cannot come and fix my broken pool I've been in a funk!
Yes, I know there are people struggling to hold onto life and their loved ones cannot visit them or even bury them in some cases. Yes, I know others have family members in hospitals for all reasons and cannot have visitors. I know that people cannot go to their loved ones' funerals no matter the cause of death.... I know, I know, I know! I ALWAYS know someone always has it worse off than me! But, those of you who know me know what my stupid pool means to me.... It means peace, it means emotional well being, it means daily fitness. Yes, I can even say I love my pool! I do. I'd marry it if I could. After the news of them not being able to fix it I went down, down, down!
Put that together with a change in our work E-mail program that prevents me from using it effectively, being kept away from my only social outlets which was the gym, WW Workshops & church, all were essential to my mental, physical and spirutal well being and I was an still am a little bit of an Easter Basket Case!
So what does this particular basket case do? she eats!and, she doesn't sleep! but, she does exercise! (at least)
so routine.... I figured since I wasn't sleeping I would work 3rd shift. I work from home anyhow (another reason those social outlets were so important to me), so why not? work all night, sleep all day! I even devised a routine for working out and eating, but it was an epic fail the first night! I could not motivate myself to work. then I started roaming around looking for something to eat and usually finding it. yeah, I actually did try it more than 1 night. But, around 4 AM I finally get sleepy. So, now my routine is a sort of in between shift plan! I am usually staying up until 3 or 4, then I sleep until 8:30 or 9, eat something, go back to bed and sleep until noon. then I start my day. Right now the biggest problem in my routine is working that job for which I get payed and who knows?!!! We may need that money!
I thought posting a routine and getting some accountability would help! We shall see!
